Beautiful Chaos are huge fans of the AfroPunk Music Festival & Movement.

Not only is the festival in Brooklyn, NYC but you can find it in Paris, London, Atlanta & JoBurg as well.

Inspired by the movement of the same name, Afro Punk Music Festival celebrates the diversity within the punk and alternative scene.
The lineup often features a mixture of punk, rap, rock, metal and world bands, whilst bringing together respected Urban artists from around the world.

Take advantage of their BOGO ticket offer

As quoted from the AfroPunk website "We are only as strong as the connections we make and the community we build. Buy ONE (1) General Admission weekend ticket to AFROPUNK Brooklyn 2018 and through AGI give ONE (1) pass to experience the festival to an NYC area youth within our network of nonprofit partners doing dynamic work to deliver sustainable impact in our communities. #WETHEPEOPLE "

And this is just one of the reasons we love them so much. Another reason is they walk the walk  and through the

AFROPUNK GLOBAL INITIATIVE (AGI) a nonprofit, civic engagement arm of the AFROPUNK festival and online community they have successfully inspired and empowered individuals to stake a claim in their own lives, redefining their world and the world of others by being active participants in their communities.

Since they launch the AGI program in 2015 they've produced some astounding stats -

  • 50K+ Volunteer Sign Ups

  • 200K+ Volunteer Hours

  • 2K Hygiene Kits distributed to NYC homeless

  • 10M+ impressions generated online

  • 100K+ Digital Petitions & Social Actions Generated Online

Another cool and old school initiative, which Beautiful Choas also loves is -

AFROPUNK'S BATTLE OF THE BANDS

As quoted from their website (link is below - check it out) - "AFROPUNK’s Battle of the Bands is the first expression of mentorship, support and encouragement in our creative community. Yes, it is a competition in which new artists play for the chance to perform at AFROPUNK events and on its festival stages. But it’s more than that. It is an opportunity to show the people what you got, to be recognized by your audience and by your peers, since they’re the ones picking the winners. Some victors sign record-label deals and become famous for a while, others play a couple of big shows and fade away. Yet all feel the roar of an approving room recognizing, in this Battle of the Bands moment, that you need a bigger platform. What you do with that moment is up to you – but whatever you do, the AFROPUNK community is there for you".
