WHAT: Groovin' the Moo

WHERE: Touring festival across regional Australia

Every autumn, Groovin' the Moo takes some of the world's biggest artists beyond Australia's capital cities, transforming regional communities into vibrant music destinations. Since its launch in 2005, the touring festival has become one of Australia's most loved live music events, delivering an impressive mix of international headliners, established Australian acts, and emerging talent.

A Festival Built for Regional Australia

Unlike most major music festivals, Groovin' the Moo was created with regional audiences in mind. Rather than being held in a single location, the festival tours through regional centres across Australia, giving music fans the opportunity to experience world-class performances closer to home.

Over the years, the festival has visited locations including Oakbank (South Australia), Bunbury (Western Australia), Bendigo (Victoria), Canberra (ACT), Maitland (New South Wales), and Townsville (Queensland).

A Launchpad for New Talent

Groovin' the Moo has built a reputation for pairing internationally acclaimed artists with some of Australia's most exciting emerging musicians. Its carefully curated line-ups span indie, rock, hip hop, electronic, pop, and alternative music, making every festival a diverse celebration of contemporary music.

Past line-ups have featured artists including Paul Kelly, Grinspoon, Flight Facilities, Ocean Alley, Vera Blue, Dean Lewis, Baker Boy, Tkay Maidza, Ball Park Music, The Amity Affliction, Royal Blood, Portugal. The Man, Duke Dumont, Claptone, Confidence Man, Sampa the Great, and many more.

More Than a Music Festival

Beyond the live performances, Groovin' the Moo embraces local food vendors, art installations, community initiatives, and sustainability programmes, creating a welcoming festival atmosphere that reflects the character of each regional host city.

Why Visit?

Whether you're discovering your next favourite Australian artist or seeing an international headline act under open country skies, Groovin' the Moo delivers a festival experience unlike any other. Each place tells a story. Across regional Australia, Groovin' the Moo tells one through live music, local communities, and unforgettable performances.
