WHAT: SAN VINO WINE FIGHT
Where: Haro , Spain
When: 28 - 30 June

Spain’s annual 'Batalla de Vino' or 'San Vino Wine Fight' is possibly Europe’s most underrated annual festivals. Each year in the small village of Haro, thousands of punters emerge to a hill just after sunrise to wage war on each other using red wine as their weapon! This unique festival involves water guns, insect sprayers, and buckets filled with red wine that leaves revellers stained from head to toe.

This exciting event takes place on the morning of June 29th each year. But the eve of the event is when the real party starts. Mostly drawing a local crowd, this festival is a fun cultural experience with a real local feel,  as you stay up until the morning, drinking and dancing in the streets until the wine fight begins as the sunrises.
