Burning Man - Black Rock Desert, Nevada, USA

WHAT: Burning Man

WHERE: Black Rock Desert, Nevada, USA

An extraordinary week each year; an empty stretch of Nevada desert transformed to becomes one of the world's most creative festival, temporary cities.

Burning Man isn't a music festival in the traditional sense. It's an experience and experiment in art, community, deep, radical self-expression, and radical self-reliance, where giant installations rise from the desert sands, strangers become neighbours, and creativity knows no bounds. Music is everywhere, but it's just one part of the experience.

Welcome to Black Rock City

Each year, tens of thousands of participants build Black Rock City from the ground up before leaving almost no trace behind. There are no headline acts, no commercial sponsors, only participants helping shape one of the most remarkable gatherings on Earth.

Art cars roam the playa, interactive sculptures emerge from the dust, pop-up performances appear without warning, and each day brings something completely new, unexpected.

More Than a Festival

Burning Man has inspired artists, musicians, architects, designers, and creators from around the world. Its principles of participation, gifting, inclusion, and self-expression have helped shape not only the event itself, but creative communities far beyond the Nevada desert.

The week concludes with the iconic burning of The Man, followed by the ceremonial burning of the Temple, one of Burning Man's most emotional and reflective traditions.

You don't simply attend Burning Man, you become part of it; prepare for an experience unlike anything else on Earth. Each place tells a story. In Black Rock Desert, it's written in dust, fire, art, music and the people bold enough to immerse themselves into the Burning Man city they created.
