Lollapalooza - Chicago, Illinois, USA

WHAT: Lollapalooza

WHERE: Grant Park, Chicago, Illinois, USA

Every summer, Grant Park in downtown Chicago becomes the home of Lollapalooza, one of the world's most influential music festivals. Bringing together global superstars, emerging artists, contemporary art, food, and culture, Lollapalooza has evolved from an alternative rock tour into an international festival brand spanning multiple continents.

A Festival That Changed Music

Founded in 1991 by Perry Farrell, frontman of Jane's Addiction, Lollapalooza began as a farewell tour before evolving into one of the defining festivals of modern music. Since settling permanently in Chicago in 2005, it has become one of North America's largest music festivals, attracting hundreds of thousands of fans each year.

Every Genre, One Festival

Lollapalooza embraces an extraordinary mix of rock, indie, hip hop, pop, electronic, punk, metal, alternative, R&B, and dance music, creating one of the most diverse festival line-ups in the world. Across multiple stages, legendary performers share the bill with breakthrough artists, making it a launchpad for tomorrow's biggest stars.

Over the years, artists including The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, Arctic Monkeys, Jack White, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, Post Malone, Lizzo, Tyler, the Creator, Camila Cabello, Khalid, The National, Vampire Weekend, ODESZA, and countless others have performed at the festival.

More Than Music

Lollapalooza is about more than live performances. Art installations, local food vendors, family-friendly experiences, sustainability initiatives, and community programmes create a vibrant cultural festival that reflects the creative spirit of Chicago. The festival has also maintained its long-standing commitment to supporting charitable organisations and social causes.

Today, the Lollapalooza brand extends well beyond the United States, with sister festivals taking place in countries including Brazil, Germany, France, Argentina, Chile, and India, bringing its distinctive festival experience to audiences around the world.

Whether you're discovering tomorrow's biggest artist, watching a headline act beneath the Chicago skyline, or exploring one of the world's great urban music festivals, Lollapalooza delivers an unforgettable experience. Each place tells a story. In Chicago, Lollapalooza tells one through music, creativity, and generations of unforgettable performances.
